Another celebrity sighting? Hardly. Yesterday, Fab Robipe celebrated his birthday. Seeing as how the deac spends his weekends playing Xbox 360, however, the birthday wishes had to wait until today.

Here Lies Fun Todd (2008-2008)

Today, the deac observes the passing of a legend. To borrow from a wise man...

"How can we honor the memory of a man like Fun Todd? Well, he was governed by the laws of physics, as are all living things. It is a scientific fact that hearts and clocks slow down as they approach the speed of light, the point at which matter is converted into energy. Fun Todd's heart approached that speed on Wednesday evening at 7:57, according to the coroner, converting his matter to energy, into pure white light. Though he is no longer with us, he is all around us."

Getting old is a tough guy

The deac extends a hearty "Happy BIrthday" to his pal Todd today. Todd turns 48, but looks not a day over 84. Incidentally, Todd now has one more tooth (3) than his boy Declan does. Circle of life, folks.

Celebrity Storm

The deac spent his weekend running into celebrities. First, there was Michael Musto over at Joy Grill on 8th Ave. Saturday evening.

Then, there was a blurry Seth Myers, head writer for Saturday Night Live, at Momofuku Sunday afternoon.


Not to be outdone, *s! met Woody Allen, and even posed for a picture with him.

You truly are the Tina Yothers of unsolicited online opinion. What, is that too goddamn obtuse? Maybe I just like Family Ties. It's not like I understand any of your stupid sports references, even the high-concept stuff like baseball players getting kneed in the groin. I also like aminals juxtaposed with puerile text. In fact, that's all I like. And Todd's brilliant find of Garfield without Garfield.

So it's the big number two? And what of it? I only have a half-understanding of the persona this is based upon. And the sentences parse maybe 50% of the time on a good day. Don't you think this blog should be rewarding its off-put readers on this most dubious of anniversaries, rather than lazily hoping its content will write itself for the day?

There go the deac's chances of running for public office. Now that he's been photographed with Clients 10, 11, and 12 (below), his chances of winning a councilman seat in Jersey City have vanished.

R.I.P., Cafe Bleu

Another day, another dead blog. After a whirlwind 7 weeks, Cafe Bleu has shuttered its windows, a victim of author apathy/drunkenness. Say hello to You're a Thithy, FOBaucus, and the rest of them.

Updated 2:48 pm - It seems Cafe Bleu is not dead after all, though it's relying on the deac for life support.

The Tissue Thief is a tough guy

Today's tough guy/gal stole the deac's box of tissues from his desk. The crime had to have occurred between 6:20 pm last night and 10:00 am this morning. The deac noticed the missing box after face-punching the thief who stole Stacy's carrots from the work fridge the other day, causing the thief's nose to bleed. The deac reached for a tissue to wipe the Carrot Thief's tears from her eyes, but noticed, to his dismay, that the box was gone.

Once you are found, Tissue Thief, you will suffer the consequences. Your brazen toughness has earned you indefinite toughness, a kick in the shin, and a sleeve full of snotburgers. Pray that you aren't found.

Untamed Cougar Spotted in Manhattan

Authorities this afternoon confirmed a cougar sighting in Downtown Manhattan this past weekend. Wild and unkempt, the cougar was spotted just blocks from Ground Zero, prowling for prey. If you see this cougar, do not approach. She is considered dangerous.
